This book introduces the beloved main character, Harry Potter, aka The Boy Who Lived. It is the 1st book in a series of 7 books that leads you through a captivating journey into the famous Wizarding World with all of its much-loved characters. This wonderful book instilled in me a passion for everything related to Harry Potter. I've been waiting for my Hogwarts letter to arrive ever since I read this for the first time as a child many years ago.. I absolutely LOVE the illustrated edition of this book because of its beautiful full-colour illustrations and its impressive depiction of the wizarding world. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone (kids, teens, and adults alike!)
I think this is a great book for all ages and very adventures book!!! :-)
This book is amazing. It was the reason that I truly got into reading. I love how Rowling incorporates real world problems into a fictional kids book. It forces children to unconsciously use their problem solving skills. This is the book that started a new era of scholars. 1000000000000000000/10
It was awesome and epic and I will always read it again and again until I am old. If there are readers out there that have not found here favourite series, here they are. Come on, you know you want to. Parents, tell your children to read this. You will be pleased at the outcome!
It is defintely the top of my favourites list!
I read this when I was a kid and I really loved it. I listened to the audiobook this time. I like it. I think there needed to be a little more character development. Specifically for the antagonist.
I haven't read all of it yet, but by the time a day comes by, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be done! Even though I only read like, 2 pages, I'm already liking it already!! Two of my friends even made a Harry Potter Fan Club, just for J.K. Rowling! This book is awesome! I hope I won't get hated on for hogging the Harry Potter books!
P.S. J.K. Rowling is awesome for writing these series!! <3
Years ago when I first read Harry Potter, I thought, "I wish this book was illustrated". I had hoped for some simple black-and-white line drawings. Now, however, there is a deluxe full-colour lavishly illustrated edition that completely exceeded my modest expectations. This illustrated edition is a magnificent book. It has a full-colour dust jacket, a built-in ribbon bookmark, decorated endpapers and it is printed on lovely, glossy high-quality paper. It is a pleasure to touch and read this edition. The illustrations are vivid and imaginative. I think the illustrated edition is magnificent and I'm thrilled that this magical story has been released in such a sumptuous version. Highly recommended.
The book was amazing. I would read it again. It is great for kids grade 6 and up.
I really thought that Snape was the bad guy. But it was really Quirinus Quirrell who was the evil one.I give this 5 golden stars. THANKS FOR READING MY MESSAGE.FROM JUDE2010.
The H.P books started me on my road to being a book worm(and proud of it!) They should be books that every kid and kid at heart should read!;)
Such a perfect idea, so nice this beautiful artwork can accompany the magical world of Harry Potter. Especially great for story time, those of us who respond visually, and for those who haven't seen the movies before reading!
It is now tradition, since the release of (Kate Greenaway-Award-Winning) artist Jim Kay's vision of Harry Potter Book 1, for me to obtain all of the illustrated versions. They are more than just collectibles for die-hard fans. These books offer a great storytime reading option. As it is a book with pictures, that the children you're reading to (indoctrinating lol) can follow and it helps them build the world up in their heads even more. The artwork is gorgeous. It's a nice thing to see the creation of these characters through these artist's eyes.
Ravenclaw Represent! I was not immune to this story of an orphan boy who learned he was a wizard, more than anyone else in my generation. The entire series will forever be in my shelf, and just like I read it with my father - I plan to read it to my children/nephews/nieces for years to come. I bought this version with this collector's cover, because I love the artwork.
No matter how many times I read Harry Potter, I always get sucked in and am delighted to exist in that world again. Moreover? I feel like every time I read it, I notice something new.
These illustrated editions are beautiful. Honestly, it was like reading Harry Potter all over again. The little pictures at the beginning of each chapter in the American Editions are always fantastic (I always recall the picture of Aunt Marge in the Prisoner of Azkaban), but these illustrated editions reignited my need to be a part of the wizarding world once more!
Fantastic book for beginners and a great novel to capture the imagination!
Love it! But the best part of this one was Jim Kay's art work. I love reading the Harry Potter books but now that there illustrated I love then even more!
