Directed by Tarsem Singh in 2010 loosely based on the Greek myths of Theseus, the Minotaur and the Titanomachy, this American action-packed fantasy depicts a mythological adventure and power struggle.
Its visual effects and action sequences appear awesome, but the story seems straightforward and predictable without surprising turns and twists.
The characters also look like stereotyped figures without imagination and inspiration.

Lousy movie.

The visual effects are brilliant, but screenwriting isn't nearly as good as it should have been. The cast is very good, I would like to see some of the actors such as Henry Cavill in movies with better-written lines. Immortals is worth watching but it's not a classic.

Disappointing spin on the myth of one of Greek's most famous heroes, Theseus. The hats and helmets looked stupid. They turned Hyperion the Titan into a mortal king, the minotaur into a guy wearing a mesh helmet and the Titans from former gods into orcs. While it makes sense that the gods would want to take young-looking forms, seeing the male gods beardless and all in their 20's just didn't look right. Some of the special effects looked fake. The slow- motion action sequences were obviously inspired by the movie 300, but by this point it had become cliche. The ending didn't make sense: Zeus collapsed Mount Tartarus, destroying the only cage capable of holding the Titans, only to have the Titans continue to fight the gods in the sky until the end of time.

Good concept, but too little was done with it. A few good action sequences. Ending leaves you going... "What?" Not worth watching.

A boring movie. Action sequences are not anywhere near 300 and the coolest part of the movie has to do with the magic bow and they use it twice or so! Could have been better.

Although the way the mythology is used makes an interesting story, the stylized costumes and color become very distracting. Not as bad as I thought it was going to be but the only real reason to watch this is Mickey Rourke as a sadistic Hyperion and it's enough of a reason to watch this otherwise eye-candy movie.

This highly stylized sword-and-sandals was a lot better than I had expected. Watching Mickey Rourke chew the scenery as the evil king was great fun, and the stunning VFX lend themselves really well to the Blu Ray format. Had this movie been released absent the facile comparison to the clunky "Clash of the Titans" series it probably would have done better. Check it out for some cool action scenes, just don't expect it to be "300" or one of the Titans movies as it is its own beast.

the immortals are definitely not as immortal as they seem the acting in the movie is dead The mickey rouke scene with the bow and arrow is weak he is better off with a roll as robin hood in a comic book

King Hyperion: "Do you have children?" Lysander: "Not yet." King Hyperion: "A man's seed can be his most brutal weapon. For generations, your people will stare into the eyes of their sons and they will see my likeness. I will be remembered in every glance, every smile, every tear that is shed for eternity. But before your baptism, understand that you are not drawn to my flame on instinct, but you ran here because you are a coward, and the world does not need anymore cowards. So I shall do this world a great favor -mark you as one of us... and rid you of your ability to populate the Earth. Traitor! Although you will not hear them, your forefathers weep from their graves, for the future of their bloodline ends with you here tonight."
