It is a fad diet. While recommended by my Doctor, I tried to keep an open mind but too many alarm bells were going off. Didn't feel right to me and that is ok. I think with 2 young children in my house that I need to set a good example. I will just eat healthy food, include more protein, and use portion control instead of completely eliminating perfectly good food. According to my doctor there is science behind why it works but I could not see science anywhere.

I started this diet in June of 2012. I lost 25 lbs and have kept it off as of this date-2/19/2014. It really worked for me, and I still adhere to the main premise of eating a high protein low carb diet. However, I have moved on to just trying to eat more cleanly now. Very thankful for the Dukan diet!

Since this book was written by a French doctor I thought it would be nutritionally sound but it's not.This is nothing but a fad diet.

This is one of the best diets I tried in my life. Amazing you loose pounds almost everyday. just stick to the diet and u will see results. I was 165 lb and reached 141 lb I actually bought this book to keep!
