Things I learned from this book.... grandpas are obsessed with sharks, pirates and jumping in puddles. (I already knew they LOVED ice cream.)

Marissa (age 8), a participant of SPL's TD Summer Reading Club, rated this book 5 stars. Her favourite character in the book was Grandpa, and she thought the best part of the story was when the boy left!

Cute, but not really my cup of tea.

Edited to bump the rating to four stars and it appears that my four year old liked it better than I thought. I found the writing style quite choppy but it seems that didn't bother him much.

So cute , babysitting told from the youngster's perspective . How to entertain , feed snacks and play with Grandpa so Grandpa likes to be babysat . And telling Grandpa not to worry , the parents always come back ! Totally humorous and touching . Would recommend this book .

Spending the day with Grandpa can be fun! Eat, play, draw, fun tricks, games and more! The hard part is saying, "Goodbye".

Great Great book, comical and true to the heart. I did this one for a storytime, I dressed up as an old lady and asked the kids if they could babysit grandpa for a while.

Mom and Dad are going out and Grandpa comes to babysit the little boy. Of course the boy thinks it's the other way around and HE is babysitting grandpa. He talks about all the best ways to babysit Grandpa including special snacks like olives served on fingertips and jumping in puddles when on a walk.
My favorite part was How to Say Goodbye: With a hug and a kiss and a hug and a kiss and a hug and a kiss. Grandpa's face is priceless.

This book is absolutely adorable and funny. I liked it slightly better than its companion book, How to Babysit a Grandpa. It is from the child's perspective. Of course he isn't being babysat by Grandpa. It's the other way around. The two guys have great fun together. The illustrations are cute and colorful.

This book is advertized for grades k-2 which is perfect. What a wonderful gift this would make for a Grandpa in your life.

Cute idea. I'm not sure my 4 year old understood the silly and fun nature of the grandson babysitting the grandpa, but he and my 2 year old paid attention until the end, which is great.
