This book as well as the series was good my only complaints being the many points of view was a little confusing as well as making the characters less deep. For this book especially it lacked a solid goal other then really just staying alive for all the characters to strive for and just to make it seem staying alive has a point in it. Anyways still a good book and will read the third book if there is one.

i have not read the first book yet so i barely know whats going on but its pretty good....i just hope there is going to be a third book...

A patron review from the Adult Summer Reading Game: Rage Within is a young adult post-apocalyptic novel. It has the feel of a zombie novel, without the cannibalism. The antagonists, the "baggers" are humans that are irrationally violent and unintelligent, but do not eat humans. This is the second in the series, and I did not really love either of them. There are four points of view crammed into one fairly short novel. This is a lot of different headspaces for the reader to become intimate with. The novel is choppy because you are trying to keep up with so many people. The characters are not that unique or deep. There is action, but with the characters being so unsympathetic, it is hard to care.

I think the first book was much better since this one didn't really seem to have a point. Overall, nothing much happened and it just dragged on with all the characters fighting for their lives. I suppose all the answers will be in the 3rd book (assuming this is a trilogy) since this one was so boring and gave no info on what is happening.
