I was interested in how to help developing countries without just throwing money at them. Although the book is entertaining, it seriously describes how much work is involved to "do well by doing good."

Great book, both funny and eye-opening, about opening a business in Ghana. There are amazing and nearly unbelievable stories about everyday life, and the additional challenges of building a business in a country that is very accustomed to NGOs and a handout model. It's well-written, and completely entertaining, as well as educational.
