Reviews the history as well as recent activities at the Lamb Spring paleontological site in Douglas County, Colorado. At this site, a mammoth fossil over 10,000 years old, with skull and tusks still attached, was excavated shortly after its discovery in 1960, and re-excavated later in 1980 by the Smithsonian Institute. More recent activities by students at the University of Colorado Boulder in the further excavation and design of an interpretative center for the site are highlighted in the video.
