After listening to "The Nightingale's Song". I researched Robert Timberg, and found this book, I really enjoyed reading it, (I love his easy style) and this wasn't anything like I thought it would be. A great story of resilience, and so candid about his own failings, as a father and husband!...... I'm on to the next two books that I found while reading this one, "The Best And The Brightest by David Halberstam, and "I Heard My Country Calling" by Jim Webb. (Both not in our system, but will donate Jim's book when finished.....David's is too old, but is available in Alberta through TAL, but is so large I decided to spend the 12 bucks for an old copy on Amazon so that I could read it s l o w l y! Jim was running for president last fall, but Hillary beat him out, and unfortunately, he can't afford to run as an independent. (Will Trump win???? So glad I live in Canada, even though we have a poster boy with canned speeches!)
