Slow developing story with two potentially interesting lead characters never really developed. Not like the typical Stanford story as the characters wander around the country and spend no time in their home area. Feels like a work in progress.

Very entertaining and easy to read. Sandford's Kidd and his sidekick Lou Ellen are back at it again and if you're not already a fan, it's hard not to be one by the end of the book

More great Kidd and Luellen....liked it but didn't love it. I would read it again because I love the series. Hoping Sandford will right more one day.

I loved this book. I'm a fan of John Sandford's novels and have read the Lucas Davenport and Virgil Flowers series so I was expecting another take on the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Instead the protagonist, Kidd is an artist, computer hacker and professional criminal. His sidekick, LuEllen is a professional thief. Still you root for them as they uncover the murder of a friend within the hacker community, as well as government secrets that could have farreaching effects on the world of politics. This was written in 2003, prior to social media such as Facebook, Twitter and Wiki Leaks. It was interesting to read within the context of what we know now and how social media has affected the world.
