Listened to this book on my commute to work and back. I found I took longer to get there so I could listen longer. Loved the characters, story, all of it.

I enjoyed this a lot. It came together at the end rather too quickly and conveniently, and I was sad it ended; I liked the characters. And the descriptions of food were amazing.

The storyline felt noticeably contrived to me, but it was still fun. Pacing was slow at first and picked up as Billie delves into her quest and simultaneously learns more about herself. The cast of characters has a lot of personality and kept the story afloat when the plot was dragging. It's a sweet story.

I really enjoy this author. This one was a novel instead of a biographical story. Although I like her writing and wit a lot, this book seemed to be a product of several independent stories. I read it from start to finish because she's delightful to read. However, it was disjointed in story line. I enjoyed the characters, settings and the ending. I just thought it changed directions too much.

I thought I had the book figured out about half-way through, but I was wrong! A good read; however, I suggest that if you love food as much as I do, NOT to listen to this audiobook before and after work on your commute, because you will be salivating all.day.long each and every day! :-) But an interesting storyline and an overall good book.

Beautifully read book by one of my favourite authors. Reichl's "Tender at the Bone" was both hilarious and deeply moving, and she has segued into fiction with great success. One cannot stop listening (or reading as the case may be) and one wants to visit NYC asap.
