Gabriella and Evangelia Betarrini are just two normal American teenagers. Normal except for the fact that they time travel to fourteenth-century Italy, where they've lived in castles they've seen as crumbling ruins, become swept up in historic battles, and fallen in love with handsome knights willing to do anything to keep them alive. They've returned to the present to save their father, just short of his tragic death, and now all four return to the place that holds the girls' hearts, medieval Italy. But remaining there means facing great risk as the battle for territory wages on and the coming Black Plague looms. Can they convince their parents to stay and leave behind everything they've worked so hard to accomplish? And will the girls sacrifice their futures in an uncertain past? Or in facing death head-on, will they discover life as it was always meant to be lived?

This one is my least favorite in the series. The series started out very fun and unpredictable but by this book things had gotten very predictable and I was glad to say goodby to these characters.

Fairly predictable, but not a bad end to a series. The first two books are much more motivating and inspiring with more on the line. There are still some open questions which is where the two enovellas come in, but I think you can read this and consider the series over.

The library should totally get the paperback version of Bourne and Tributary. Lisa T. Bergen is a really good writer.

I really liked this book!! I finished it yesterday and was so sad that it was the last one ... then I liked the facebook page and realized there are two more! Bourne and Tributary, they're called. Can't wait to read them!

WOW...Lisa has us waiting for more! Make sure when you complete 'Torrent', you order the e-novella 'Bourne'. I found it on Amazon for $2.99.
Lisa will have another available in June and my daughter and I are so impatiently waiting to read it!
