Watch the original Shakespeare instead! I only skimmed each story. I don't mind the words the settings& the costumes being modern. Watch the original Shakespeare instead! I did mind how they changed the characters and butchered the story so badly it was not even similar to the original script. They barely used the original communication at all. It was a different story completely. I found it to be a big disappointment!

Excellent adaptions of Shakespeare's plays. My favorites were Taming of the Shrew and Much Ado About Nothing. All of the actors were fantastic, the script was clever, and it was pure quality. MacBeth was excellent as well, and I enjoyed a Midsummer Night's Dream, but not as much as the others. The episodes are definetly worth watching if you love Shakespeare.

I though the taming of the shrew and much ado about nothing were really funny! Macbeth was gripping and tragic, just like it should be. Don't bother watching midsummer night's dream, though. Not worth your time :-(

Caveat - I only watched about 1/2 hour of Midsummer's Night Dream, and it was awful. Watch the original Shakespeare instead!

This was great fun. Much Ado about Nothing is the best of them, but all of them are clever and entertaining. They send you back to the originals with fresh questions.

This has my favourite version of the taming of the shrew. I love Rufus Sewell and Shirley Henderson, they're so prefect for Petruchio and Kate.
