The book was overall fairly well done, and I appreciated that the romance wasn't the typical second-book-love-being-tested storyline. The science/investigative aspects were interesting, and the mystery was well-written. However, the last chapter hurriedly and emotionlessly revealed the entire murder back story and avoided the actual revelation of the characters, which was annoying to read after trying to work through it the entire book. The epilogue only slightly made up for that horrid conclusion. Except for the unexpected laziness of the ending, it was a good read.

Just as good a read as the first in the series. Ending was slightly confusing I had to reread a few pages to piece it all together.
