I still love live-acted movies without annoying CGI effects, violence, etc. Granted, I am a fan of horror movies, I am also an animal lover and advocate. This remarkable adventure story of 3 animals is done in such a compelling way that you will be immersed in it. I also enjoyed the scenery.

If you like animals - You'll surely like "The Incredible Journey". This is a very enjoyable story that can be appreciated by all ages. Just don't expect any graphic violence, bloody gore, or multiple explosions and you won't be disappointed.

This Disney production from 1963 is set in the Canadian wilderness of Northern Ontario and its stars are 2 dogs (a Lab and a Bull Terrier) and a Siamese cat who are the best of pals and who all set out on a long, and sometimes dangerous, 200 mile journey together to find their master.

At 80 minutes in length - This nature show, that includes some very beautiful scenery, is certainly worth your time.

And, so - Tell me - Who says (in this jaded day and age of ours) that one can't find pleasant entertainment-value in watching a live-action adventure story that contains no CGI, no gore, no sex, no profanity, no over-the-top violence, and no explosions, whatsoever? Eh? Who?

Well - Let me tell you - 1963's "The Incredible Journey" (from Disney Studios) is a truly wholesome and delightful, family-oriented, animal story that can certainly be enjoyed by all ages (young, old, and, yes, jaded, as well).

Featuring lively voice-over narration provided by veteran actor, Rex Allen - The Incredible Journey's many outdoor scenes of pure natural beauty were (believe it or not) actually filmed here in Canada in the vast wilderness area of Northern Ontario.

Anyway - This film's happy/sad/tragic story tells the tale of a 200-mile trek taken by Luath (the Labrador retriever), Bodger (the bull-terrier), and Tao (the Siamese cat) who (together as a loyal team) bravely venture across this great distance in hopes of soon reuniting themselves with their beloved human family.
