Should have been shorter. Just too much. I was not impressed. Nothing like Jurrasic Park

Jurassic Park meets How to Train a Dragon.

Matthew Reilly basically writes action movies in book form. If you're game for over-the-top action and elaborate set pieces, he's the best I know of. This standalone gets a little silly, and is obviously too reminiscent of "Jurassic Park", but for a vicarious adrenaline fix you're in good hands.

The Great Zoo of China was a riveting and addictive book, one that makes you hold your breath in anticipation of what is going to happen next. It was written brilliantly, with amazing characters. The scenery described in this book was breathtaking and everything about this book just pulls you in, especially the maginificent creatures who occupy the Zoo.

Not the best of the plots or efforts. Action (which Reilly is good for) has been depicted well but not the best.

It is obvious Matthew Reilly is a huge Jurassic Park fan. Surprised he actually hasn't been charged with plagerism it is so close to the original but with dragons. I was travelling ok with it until main character found herself riding one of the dragons. As well as being a Jurassic Park fan he is possibly a Game of thrones fan as well. A completely ridiculous book but that said, teenage boys would probably love it. Full of action and blood and gore.

An imaginable storyline, unceasing action and daring feats of survival make this a hard book to put down. Graphic violence and high body count. Not for the faint of heart.

It was full of action but after a while it got repetitive and boring. The same thing happened over and over and it became too predictable

If you liked Jurassic Park, you'll like this. I believe it will be made into a movie. I like the idea of having a female character as the lead in an action adventure novel. It's fast paced, but I wish there were a bit more character development of the lesser characters. May be too gory for some readers.

Started off with an interesting idea, but quickly went downhill. Completely unbelievable. I think I was finally done when the dragons began talking to the humans.
