Let me first say that I love Wuthering Heights and so I was drawn to this. However, it did not draw me in neither did it add to the original. I am from Yorkshire and love Bronte country and understand the dialect. I couldn't finish the book. If you are not in love with Wuthering Heights and just want a story to read, then this would be ok for that. However, if you are like me, then leave this one alone. It's a hard act to follow Emily Bronte.

This is for Wuthering Heights die-hards, and I can't say it made me one. Nelly's Victorian marriage and master servant plight is full of character and history, but lacks the Gothic drama that came with the Heathcliff episodes. Reads fast.
