This documentary should be a required DVD for any professional athlete coming from a poor neighborhood. It's such a shame that these athletes acquire so much wealth but are flat broke after their careers end.

Surprisingly good documentary on boxing produced by Mike Tyson. Covers a lot of ground -- the prison-industrial complex, the spotty-to-non-existent regulation of boxing in the United States, the persistence of poverty in "the greatest nation on earth." The film uses the Tyson-vs.-Holyfield nexus as an organizing principle, with plenty of asides to middleweight/light heavy Bernard Hopkins. But really this documentary could be called "The World According to Iron Mike." And I've got to say he gets it right. Definitely worth checking out.

Quite a bit of new info I'd never heard about Holyfield and Hopkins in particular. Some fight footage, but mostly interviews with the fighters. Worth seeing for fight fans. I couldn't care less about the actors and musicians they had giving commentary, but the fighter interviews are still worth watching for.

Many of the reviews I read prior to viewing this film, rated this the "best" boxing documentary ever. If you want to see a great boxing documentary, watch: When We Kings; Facing Ali; I Am Ali, or No Mas.
