The projects are made in a range of prints and styles and use a range of techniques: either follow each project closely, or adapt the size and fabric to suit the recipient. Very cutesy kinds of projects. Mostly more of the same thing you see in many other sewing books: aprons, tea cozy, pillow, etc. I really like the door tidy project on page 78. The instructions probably won't be all that helpful for beginners, but intermediate and advanced sewing folks will get the gist just fine.

I have come to really enjoy Debbie Shore's books. She is a British seamstress who designs really cute sewing projects. She always includes about 20 projects in her books and has plenty of photos and well-designed instructions. Everything you need to know is in the book and if a template is required, it's there too. Some authors send you to their website; she never does that. She also includes a visual Table of Contents so you can go to Amazon, use the search inside feature, and see the actual projects in the Table of Contents which is neat. My favorite projects in this book were the gusseted cosmetics bag, draft excluder, reading pillow, door tidy (a cute bag to hang on the door), wallet, heart pillow, bag doorstop, gardening kneeling pad, and hot water bottle cover. I'm going to make the "string of chicks" as individual chicks to line up on the kitchen counter. The photographs are beautiful and projects pretty easy.
