Jeff and Anne, two close friends and co-workers who are embarrassingly unlucky at love, hatch a plan to transform themselves over the course of a sex-and-alcohol-fueled summer into the cool, confident people they aspire to be. Great acting and an OK story line. An acceptable romantic comedy. I will be looking for more films with Sarah Burns in the future - - very gifted.

The best romantic comedy I've seen in a long time- so laugh-out-loud funny that I had the fear halfway through that it wouldn't have time to squeeze in the romance. The story seems pretty standard- two unlucky-in-love pals decide to take their summer to reinvent themselves, find out how the cool folks live, achieve a kind of success, and yet ultimately find their way back to themselves. Adam Pally is my new favorite comedian, a master of physical performance and punchline timing. I remember being skeptical about his character on The Mindy Project when he was introduced, and he won me over to become one of my favorite characters on that show, just like he won me over here. I'm also now scrambling to rent anything that Sarah Burns has been in, since she was so spit-take funny throughout the whole movie, there was no way I was going to risk drinking water until after the credits. But even the minor characters are snort-worthy. The awkward guys in his book club, the principal at their school, and of course the tall dark and handsome Reid Scott. I finished this movie, and wanted to watch it over again right away to hear all the parts I was laughing over the first time around.
