It wasn't horrible as I did read it to the end, but the main character is just kind of flat and blah. Didn't really care about her too much and couldn't understand why most of the characters in the book thought she was so great. I was hoping for more depth I guess.

I continue to hold the view that all books of the series I have read so far, the first I liked the most. Although it can be said that with this one, came some improvement. In writing you can feel that there are two authors: one is writing dialogues, and another one is dedicated to more complex descriptions.
I didn’t like the fact that authors decided to "kill” a particular character, which, in my opinion, should not have been subject to this fate.
Well, the nature of the main character is all the same - cold, and the impression is, that throughout the book, only what she does is heats the water in the kettle for tea drinking.

When Frieda's ex-lover, Sandy, turns up murdered and his wallet is found in Frieda's flat she becomes the most likely suspect in the crime. Before she can be arrested she goes on the run to search for the real killer. Ruling out her phantom nemesis, Dean Reeve she must find all of Sandy's other ex-lovers and try to find someone with a motive. On the way she lives a much different life than normal in order to hide in plain sight. Amusingly we see her as a nanny, with wild clothes etc. But Frieda is still Frieda. Intelligent, resourceful, meticulous, plain spoken and somehow lovable in spite of her prickliness. With the help of her ever-widening motley crew of intensely loyal friends and colleagues she can't fail, can she? In a new wrinkle, a door is opened at the end of the book that may extend this series beyond the days of the week. I hope so. This is one of my favorite series.

Frieda Klein just gets better with each successive days in a week of the series. What a life! By my reckoning there should be 3 more to come now we've had Monday through Friday.I'll endeavour to be patient!
