An autobiographical tale of Eugenia Ginzburg's experience in Soviet Russia's prison system, Journey into the Whirlwind exposes the often untold atrocities of the Stalin era. Written in many short chapters, this book manages to be a page turner and historical tale at the same time. Highly recommended.
