This book is really about not letting fresh foods go to waste. I had expected more ideas about how to use small amounts of ingredients left over from making another dish. Her suggestion for using leftover cream is followed by a recipe requiring two cups! I want to know what to do with a half can of soup or a jar of applesauce. Yes, I know I can substitute the latter for oil in baking, but I don’t bake that often and my family wastes a lot of this.
She has useful tips if you are a novice in the kitchen, but I did not come away with a lot of ideas I would use
