As an avid fantasy reader, I was immediately attracted to this title, and the synopsis lured me in. It is a good book, however it leans very heavily on cliches and tropes. Overall, not anything extraordinary ( haha), but I have to give it props for having a strong female lead, YA can always use more of those.
