Curtis D. Dale was born on August 11, 1937 in St. Alban's West Virginia. He entered the U.S Air Force in September 1959 after completing four years of ROTC training at West Virginia University. His service ended in June 1986. In this interview, Curtis Dale describes the various missions he flew in his service as well as the types of aircraft he flew, from flying weather reconnaissance in B-47s over Alaska to flying Gooney Birds over Vietnam; as well as his opinions on the political situation during his service in Vietnam.
