I will differ from some other comments. This is a really important movie. Yes, it is difficult to watch and I, too, had to fast forward through some elements but mainly because they brought up some harsh memories. The significance of the film can be compared to what is happening in the nation at this time (9/29/2018) where the need to fit in for a false sense of belonging and power overrules any sense of ethics, morality and respect for others. The need to humiliate others to have an imaginary sense of strength could not have been more explicit. Extrapolate folks.

The pledging ritual of hell week in pledging a fraternity with the promise of protection, popularity and friendships is grueling. I had to fast forward through the cruelty and offensive behavior because it was so so sad.

This film begins with the brutal beating of the main character. Most of the middle part of the movie consists of brutal frat hazing. The last big scene is a brutal fist fight between frat brothers. There you go. You don't even have to waste your time on it now.

Far too painful and at times disgusting to watch.
