Geoff Johns (Green Lantern: Sinestro Corps War, The Flash, Action Comics, JSA) and superstar artist Ivan Reis raise the dead in a story that rocks the foundations of the DC Universe! Throughout the decades, death has plagued the DC Universe and taken the lives of heroes and villains alike. But to what end? As the war between the different colored Lantern Corps rages on, the prophecy of the Blackest Night descends, and it's up to Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps to lead DC's greatest champions in a battle to save the universe from an army of undead Black Lanterns made up of fallen Green Lanterns and DC's deceased heroes and villains. This collection of the best-selling epic is the culmination of the events that Geoff Johns has been leading to since he re-launched the Green Lantern franchise in 2006!

It is interesting how each volume looks at the story from a different viewpoint.

One of the best DC Universe crossover events. A lot of enjoyable appearances by lesser characters. Very successfully handles a topic rarely addressed in comics: the death of superheroes.

Definitely a must read for Green Lantern fans and DC Comics fans in general.

It's a great book! I think it's the best thing Dc Comics Old 52! Thank's Geoff Johns.

A perfect example of how to create a company-wide crossover of significance without altering ongoing titles too much. This is what the last several years of Green Lantern comics have been building up to and the build-up has been worth it!

Took awhile to get it but it was worth the wait.

This graphic novel is what got me into Green Lantern. It is an excellent read with stunning art and interesting plot twists. Though the story is great, it would be a good idea to pick up the other Blackest Night graphic novels to get the most complete overview of the story arc. I still think that the story fits fine on its own. If you haven't read this, I highly recommend that you do.

Didn't care for the story or the art. Seemed more like a preview for a new line of action figures.

Also, you would need to alternate chapters with Blackest Night and Green Lantern: Blackest Night to get the full story.
