The previous X-Men movies were good and I enjoyed them. They were still comic book characters with a little reality to bring them to life. But still "cartoony". I always believed that Wolverine was just a tamed Logan, and here he is.

Its real life, with real challenges for the characters. Some of them relatable to our own lives. Caring for an elderly and failing parent. A child with her own insecurities and walking the line on the edge of control. Keeping his own psychology in check while enduring constant bombardment from the outside world. Laura (Dafne Keen) almost didn't need to talk. Everything is said in her expression.

Yes...you need to know the X-Men background, but its a nostalgic and distant memory here.

I am notorious for falling asleep during movies. I don't think I blinked through this 1.

Well done.

This is mature stuff not for kids. It's part of the X-Men saga but it's a very different kind of X-Men movie. It's extremely violent and graphic. That's fine for adults but not recommended for kids (as was the film-makers' intent). Writing, pacing, and acting are all very good. Fight scenes are excellent. Some discs come with a black & white version. The one I borrowed was supposed to have it, but it wasn't there. Instead, I played the colour version again and adjusted the settings on my TV to simulate black & white. Not perfect but close. It looks great and has comes across with a bit of a different vibe. Recommended.

After watching all the XMen movies, I found this movie to be a disappointing and dark ending to a series I found riveting and almost magical. The movie felt like a desperate funeral.

This is not your typical X-Men movie. Prepare to feel some tugging at your heartstrings. It's enough to know that this is Hugh Jackman's and Patrick Stewart's last time appearing as Wolverine and Professor X. The story was very beautifully done and honestly left me speechless at the end. I think I can say that this is my favorite of the X-Men series, despite it not really being an X-Men movie.

I found this movie to be dreary & depressing from start to finish. More violent than need-be as well.

Very fast paced and action packed. This movie sets itself apart from the X-men franchise. High octane filled and lots of constant battle and moving imagery.

This film has a very different tone from other X-Men films. Logan is much darker but the story is a fascinating one. Logan's care of Professor X is complicated and moving. The story is intriguing and without giving too much away, is a solid telling of these men later in life.
