This was an entertaining crime novel to read. It did not have the tell tale signs of being overly predictable in terms of a lot of crime/police novels. The characters were engaging though a little flat in other parts. But for a book to read in your downtime for the sake of just reading for enjoyment this was a good choice. The "who-dun-it" aspect keeps you guessing as you get to the end and it was a satisfactory conclusion. This book would be enjoyable for a crime novel fanatic but also enjoyable for those who normally do not get into them.
I was in love with the concept but not the execution. The characters were one dimensional and not relatable at all. There were far to many things in this book to find frustrating and not enough enjoyable bits. I cannot go into details without getting into spoilers. I just wanted to like it so much and was disappointed when it fell flat.
The novel is original, gripping and suspenseful. It kept me guessing, and held my interest from beginning to end. I hope to read more from this author in the future.
This book went off in all different directions, which I found annoying and convoluted.
