This wasn't a bad Star Trek book and it also wasn't a great one either. The story had great elements of surprise and fell line with most of the Star Trek TNG that I grew up with. I
The book did lag in areas and added detail to issues that didn't need to be and where there was detail needed it lacked.
I enjoyed it for the most part and would recommended it as a one time read but it's not a multi-read worthy novel.
