Tala and Leyla have to overcome the barriers that exist between them and a life of love in modern London. These barriers, while obvious on the surface, run deeply when it comes to the other aspects of their lives. But even when all seems lost, they find their way back to each other. It was really delightful to see a happy (with some nail biting, I'll tell you) story of two women of color in love, especially when one is a Muslim of Indian heritage and the other is a Christian Palestinian whose very wealthy family lives in relatively conservative Jordan. -Jessica
