It was a normal Tuesday until Kai discovered a letter, tucked into a pile of their family's mail, from her older sister, Jen. "If you are reading this, I am already gone." Jen has committed suicide. Dealing with Jen's funeral and with their devastated parents, Kai is also searching for answers. Soon she's caught in a vicious downward spiral, self-medicating and lashing out at the people she loves. When her parents send Kai to the Treehouse, a summer camp for grieving teens, she's not a happy camper. Then she begins to share her feelings, find a way forward, even laugh ... and fall in love.

Just a Normal Tuesday by Kim Turrisi shared a story of a young girl named Kai who discovered suicide letters from her sister Jen. The impact of this decision affected Kai deeply. She was angry, sad and confused about why Jen did it. As the story progresses, Kai’s parents offered her to a camp for grief kids. Later on, she finds warmth, hope and even happiness at grief camp. I adore how the author expresses emotions of losing someone dearly to you. The pain was hard enough, adding on the ways the parents handle things. Everyone wants more time to be with someone they loved. A lot of foreshadowing happened in this book. Such as main events of the death, the torment of grief and finally revealing happiness. I highly recommend this book because of how they show the tone of this book, well written from this deep topic and it connects all of us who may have the same or similar experience we all can relate.
