Pointless. It plays like a travelogue for Europe as Kristen Stewart (the personal shopper and "medium") crisscrosses Europe by plane, train and scooter. European interiors and exteriors are beautiful as are the clothes she selects for her employer, but none of this is enough to save the movie. She starts texting someone "from the great beyond?" and that's where things start to get ridiculous. I had known Kristen Stewart to choose interesting, intelligent, smaller films of late. What went wrong? Kristen, you are smarter than this movie. You can do better.

I'm not KS fan. However, I cannot deny her talent.

Didn't know going in the whole movie's story. Combination of solid acting, intriguing visuals, introduction to a usually private service industry, and the Euro setting made for a sort of refreshment.

An ambiguous finish is fine but this one was umimpressive as well.

This is a mysterious movie that doesn't reveal what its about until around the half-way point. It combines a bit of horror, suspense, mystery and sci-fi. I actually found the scenes following KS around Paris and London to be quite interesting - a window into an unusual job that most of us don't even know exists (hence the title Personal Shopper). I'll admit that my first reaction to her being a medium was, "Oh no, why did I pick out this movie?" but her background story was sufficient to make me want to know more. The two negatives are: the middle half hour is a constant stream of texting between KS and a mysterious "stalker"; and, there are 2 or 3 scenes shots in nearly total darkness (I played with my TV settings but could not get good clarity).

I'm so glad I didn't let the negative reviews stop me from watching this movie. First I don't think of my self as a Kristen Stewart fan. I find her very brooding and not very entertaining. I was interested in this movie because of I truly enjoyed The clouds of Sils Maria which she also stared in by the same director. I didn't realize that this movie was listed as a paranormal movie, I found it to be very scary. So glad I could stop it at one point and return to it. The story line is really a mystery and very intriguing. Loved it and would watch it again and recommend it those who enjoy great story lines even if not a fan of Kristen's.

This movie is mainly shot in the dark or half light so it is just painful to watch. The acting is dreadful! When it finished I thought "what was that all about"? Actually it has no ending, and you are left wondering why you just wasted an hour +.

If you've ever said to yourself "I wish there was a movie that was just Kristen Stewart texting on her phone the whole time", I have some good news for you.
