Merde! There is a lot of vitriol for this one. It's not a horror movie, for one, and it's not a Hollywood movie, for two. After their successful collaboration on "Clouds of Sils Maria," French auteur Olivier Assays and erstwhile "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart re-team for a kind of art house ghost story. Clearly it's lack of a traditional narrative and its tendency towards abstraction and ambiguity did not sit well with a lot of people. I found it a little slow and meandering, but I like most everything Assayas ("Carlos," "Irma Vep") does, and I appreciate that K Stew is taking on interesting projects and roles very different from those that made her an unlikely star.

Terrible movie. Wasn't even scary. What dribble. Hollywood can't find good stories anymore.

One of the worst most boring "horror" movies I've ever seen. The main actress is dull and insipid. Am I supposed to be impressed by her shopping? Do they think we are intellectual morons? And the ghost was one of the cheesiest computer graphics in recent memory. And this is a Criterion label? Oh excuse me I didn't know such pretentious cinematic drivel counts as Criterion. Laughable excuse for a movie.

What was that all about? I can’t believe I sat there and watched Kristen Stewart text a movie. Jeez. It’s like watching paint dry. A $400.00 hair cut and men’s to big thrift clothes doesn’t make sense to me. Personal Shopper? I thought she was a Personal Picker Upper. Kristen rides a Moped, Kristen rides a Moped with a million dollars of jewelry in a sack, Kristen texting, Kristen distraught, Kristen sullen, Kristen texting some more, Kristen naked. Whatever. Kristen is cute, I’ll give her that.

"Personal Shopper" rate zero stars out of five. The hero of ther movie is haunted through her cell phone texting buy a dead spirit. This could have worked. Unfortunately there was too much text to read. Excessiv e texting ruined this movie. It also took too long to get the expense. The acting is bad. "Personal Shopper" is not worth viewing in my humble opinion. It is not a classic horror like Psycho. Don't waste your time on "Personal Shopper".

No suspense. No horror. No action. No point. Forget it. Borrow something else. Anything else. Well not ANYTHING else. "The Last Face" is worse - WAY WORSE. Don't bother with that one, either. Borrow an Alfred Hitchcock movie instead.

Pointless. It plays like a travelogue for Europe as Kristen Stewart (the personal shopper and "medium") crisscrosses Europe by plane, train and scooter. European interiors and exteriors are beautiful as are the clothes she selects for her employer, but none of this is enough to save the movie. She starts texting someone "from the great beyond?" and that's where things start to get ridiculous. I had known Kristen Stewart to choose interesting, intelligent, smaller films of late. What went wrong? Kristen, you are smarter than this movie. You can do better. There is another movie called 'Her' that deals with communication with a "someone digital" that does a lot better job at speaking to the consequences of of a digital world. I don't really know what 'Personal Shopper' was trying to say about anything.
