A young mother and her infant child are ruthlessly gunned down while returning to their car in the garage of a shopping mall. There are no witnesses, and Detective Lindsay Boxer is left with only one shred of evidence: a cryptic message scrawled across the windshield in bloodred lipstick. The same night, the wife of A-list actor Marcus Dowling is woken by a cat burglar who is about to steal millions of dollars' worth of precious jewels. In just seconds there is a nearly empty safe, a lifeless body, and another mystery that throws San Francisco into hysteria. Lindsay spends every waking hour working with her partner, Rich -- and her desire for him threatens to tear apart both her engagement and the Women's Murder Club. Before Lindsay and her friends can piece together either case, one of the killers forces Lindsay to put her own life on the line -- but is it enough to save the city?

Someone is gunning down young mothers and their babies. If that isn't enough an actor's wife is found dead after a burglar robs them. The Women's Murder Club is trying to piece things together to help Detective Lindsay Boxer and her team solve these cases. The clock is ticking and they have their work cut out for them. The is the ninth book in this series and it is just a good as the others. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

I found this to be better than several of the previous instalments in this series. I still don't like the superhuman qualities attributed to the main character, though

Read this in a day. Good read.

I enjoyed this book with it's many twists and turns although I think it could have been written without the sex scenes and not lost anything. Who needs to read about a policeman having sex with his girlfriend in the back seat of a car in a murder mystery story?

10s bigger than 9 !
So, the next book (10th ...) has a major job, to keep up with 9th Judgement !
9th had some astonishingly GOOD story lines, surprises and was an easy & enjoyable filled book.

A good thriller. Up to James Patterson's mystery standards. He needs to stay away from science fiction and pseudo history and stick to what he does best---mysterys

I love the Women's club series, always a very interesting read with lots of twists and turns. Shows that women can play with the big boys too. Couldn't put this one down!!

I expected better of James Patterson. I love the ladies club, but you could not tell who was a part of the club and who was not. Plot was good, the chase with Lindsay and the Lipstick Killer was just not realistic.
