From New & Noteworthy Fiction. Two smart women from the CIA typing pool are chosen to become spies and go on a mission to obtain the manuscript of Doctor Zhivago for publication in the West. A remarkable debut inspired by a true story.

The story takes place in the United States and USSR during the cold war. The characters were well developed and I liked the authors writing style. If you like spy fiction, check this one out!

Interesting story built around the CIA's smuggling of copies of Doctor Zhivago back into Russia after the government there banned its publication because of the portrait of Russian life it depicted.
