I skimmed through this book. I read it when I did because it wasn't available as an e-book and I'd waited for the hard cover version for months. She is my age, grew up in Mn, went to law school in Chicago, traveled in Switzerland in 1993, and has a daughter Delia's age. I just don't see anything in her background that makes her chief executive material and I'm afraid even a two term senator doesn't necessarily have the relevant leadership experience.

When Ms. Klobuchar announced she was running for president, I thought I should read her book. It gave me a general idea of who she is, how she got to be a senator and what issues are dear to her heart. The way she has conducted herself in the Senate seems like someone I need to know more about. She seems like an honest, moderate, decent, civil person. I plan to look on her website to see what her policies and priorities will be as president.

This book was okay. It doesn't shed much light on her policy views. The first 75% or so is about her life before becoming a senator (e.g. growing up, career in law, campaigning for office, etc). The last few chapters talk about her experience as a senator, but it heavily emphasizes bipartisan compromise. I would have liked to learn more about her political vision.

This senator voted for the fast track to allow for the Trans-Pacific Partnership to pass, the endgame in the offshoring of jobs, importing of replacement foreign visa workers, and handing over sovereignty to the multinationals. Klobuchar is a strong supporter of the TPP, and anti-worker! Check out her voting record, before reading this book! Like Bill, Hillary and Chelsea and the present president, she ain't no democrat. I know what a democrat is and these are neocons.
