Luckily the writers had seen Indiana Jones and Disney's Aladdin, otherwise they would have had no idea what to put into this film. I loved the original tv series and gave this film an extra star based just on that memory. If you too liked that series and/or appreciate good films, I'd suggest passing on this one.

An adventure for Miss Fisher, first in India (which we do not see but hear about) where she has married a Maharajah. Then to the middle east and England, not her usual Australia homeland. Faithful policeman Jack is chagrined over her marriage, but she explains her newly wed status to him. Miss Fisher has a grand time solving murders, and helping a young girl escape evil doers and government agents. As always Miss Fisher's clothes are gorgeous and her ability to get into mischief is always a pleasure to watch. I hope they made more Miss Fisher movies or another series for the TV. I am greatly disappointed in her niece's TV show and want the original Miss Fisher back!
