Zac Efron stars in this romantic drama about what it takes to find your voice. Set in the world of electronic music and Hollywood nightlife, an aspiring 23-year-old DJ named Cole (Efron) spends his days scheming with his childhood friends and his nights working on the one track that will set the world on fire. All of this changes when he meets a charismatic but damaged older DJ named James (Bentley), who takes him under his wing. Things get complicated, however, when Cole starts falling for James's much younger girlfriend, Sophie (Ratajkowski). With Cole's forbidden relationship intensifying and his friendships unraveling, he must choose between love, loyalty, and the future he is destined for.

Not exactly my type of music, but Zac Efron does a decent job learning the ropes of his chosen profession, deejaying, in this highly competitive field (who knew?). He learns some life lessons along the way from a veteran spinner who attempts to show him the ropes. Flick moves at a decent clip, and though many of the characters are not likable, Zac's is.

Surprised to like it. Unrelatable, hipster slice of life story for sure, but still decently acted. The high energy soundtrack is the main star of the film. Recomended!

Previews looked good, but this movie was outstanding. Fast paced, wholly original....with some of the most gorgeous youngsters that ever graced God's Earth.

Interesting and quasi believable storyline, this one should entertain folks from 9 to 90....ok....maybe not 9 yr olds.

Highly recommended.

Boring. It deviates from what you expect but not in a good way. If you're into electronic music, even the apex of the story is boring. There is WAY better electronic music out there.

Not as bad for a film about a young and hungry DJ. Zac Efron does a good job as the lead and has a nice bonding relationship with a much older and more experienced DJ played by Wes Bentley. A pretty decent film overall.
