Fifteen-year-old Hannah Roberts remembers when her father was her closest friend. That image, pulled from early childhood memories, is hazy. Now he is a cold, distant politician who is too busy to spend time with his daughter--and her mother isn't much better. Hannah feels like an orphan and lives a lonely life with her ailing grandmother. As Christmas nears, Hannah learns a shocking truth: the man she thought was her father is not. In an effort to find answers, she begins to search for her biological father, Air Force chopper pilot Mike Conner. A local newspaper learns of her quest and suddenly the media is caught up in Hannah's hope.

Another favorite book by Karen Kingsbury. It is like greeting an old friend each time I read her books. Predictable but filled with hope. I couldn't put the book down. It makes me appreciate the sacrifice of the military even more.

The more I read of a book by Karen Kingsbury the more books of hers I'm wanting to read!!! I've not been disappointed in any of the books so far and the story of Hannah and her search for her biological father is one that will put a lump in your throat.
