I really enjoyed this swashbuckling adventure story. Charlotte learned about herself and how strong she was. She had many scary things happen, but faced them all. It was very suspenseful. I would recommend this story to middle school children.
As the only passenger, and the only female, on a trans-Atlantic voyage in 1832, 13-year-old Charlotte finds herself caught between a murderous captain and a mutinous crew.
