Elsewhere is where 15-year-old Liz Hall ends up, after she has died. It is a place so like Earth, yet completely different. Here Liz will age backward from the day of her death until she becomes a baby again and returns to Earth. But Liz wants to turn 16, not 14, again. She wants to get her driver's license. She wants to graduate from high school and go to college. And now that she's dead, Liz is being forced to live a life she doesn't want with a grandmother she has only just met. And it is not going well. How can Liz let go of the only life she has ever known and embrace a new one? Is it possible that a life lived in reverse is no different from a life lived forward?

Gabrielle Zevin is a wonderful author. Elsewhere is an incredibly touching tale.

Really great book, ended too soon. Wish there was a sequel to this book.
Five stars all the way! ^_^

:) I think it's a really good book. I just finished listening to it. I thought it was going to end up being a dream and she was going to wake up in the hospital. You have to listen to this audiobook to see if I was right or not!

This read is really hard to classify. It is a young adult version of The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons meets The Giver. I found Zevin's description of Elsewhere and the structure of being reborn a unique, clever premise for a fun yet tragic story. Liz has to learn to embrace life in any fashion it is lived.

The teenager who reads this book aloud is great ! Both my parents passed away quite close to each other. This CD helped me find some level of peace, beside being interesting and very entertaining.

Great voice actor/reader... there is emotion in her voice and she makes the story even more intriguing! Don't judge a book (or audiobook) by it's cover! It may seem simple or dull, but within lies an intricate story. I've listened to this audiobook many times -- sometimes the whole thing and sometimes only my favourite parts. Nevertheless, for some reason I've never stopped loving this book. I fell in love with the characters and it certainly gave me a new perspective on the cycle of life and death! :)
