Clara primarily talks about the history of the Lone Tree School in Douglas County, Colorado, and her experiences of attending the school. She recalls the first school buses in 1939/1940 and the consolidation of the schools in 1958. Other subjects that are touched on are other schools in the area, growing up on a farm in in early Douglas County, the dam at Perry Park bursting in 1920, their first car, and people who also lived in the area. While her husband, Wallace, participates in the interview, most of the content of the interview is provided by Clara.
