Found it a little too slow & the music was overpowering. However, Russell Crowe does an excellent job & its not like any other movie currently available. Personally I enjoyed it & liked the end. Director did a good (not great, but better than okay) job of getting you attached to the 2 main charachters.

Depressing movie. Could not understand how a young girl would want to befriend a Serial Killer? but then I have heard that Paul Bernardo is getting married, so takes all kinds I guess.

A young serial killer is released from juvenile detention much to the horror of the public and a former police officer that has studied the pychopath. A fifteen year old girl is looking for change in her troubled life that included being a witness to one of the young man's killings. The two set off on a trip to upstate New York with the former police officer in pursuit. What follows is a confusing and troubling story that predictably ends badly.

Movie was not done well at all. This movie was terrible “Dumb boring and stupid.” Waste of time waste and of Electrical power.

This is a movie based on Robert Cormier's compelling novel under the same title. The book gives incredible insight into the mind of a serial killer and the sympathetic view he paints borders on creepy. That being said...skip the movie, just read the book.

Fair – Tenderness (2009) 101 min. Part psychological thriller/part mystery, the film about a detective (played by Russell Crowe) staying close to a man recently released from prison believing that he’ll kill again has some interesting moments but by the end, leaves the viewer hanging. This atmospheric film doesn’t necessarily push you away but also doesn’t fully engage either. Not one of Russell Crowe’s best though he does bring this film up a notch by his sheer presence.

Dull, dreary psychological crime drama. Two of its main characters are demented, but only in a mousy way, & the film lacks anything near the psychological penetration its subject-matter requires. Russell Crowe is completely wasted on his dishrag character.

Not a bad movie but if you're excepting an action movie this is not it. Crowe's character really doesn't fit into the film at all. I think they put him in because he's got the name
