Hiring an army of famous and expensive actors won't result in a good movie if there is no story to tell.

The star-studded ensemble cast can't save this film from predictable plots and cringy dialogue. It's a good watch if you're looking for a bit of fluff or something mindless to have playing in the background.

"Cute," but too long, too uninspired. Too vulgar. Where's the romance, in that?

I went back and forth as to whether or not to give this movie a thumbs up but decided in the end that it's worth about 2 1/2 stars, so I'm being generous. First of all, I LOVED the all star cast, but I would have liked to have seen Julia Roberts' storyline (which I liked the best and has a sweet twist at the end) expanded. She plays a really interesting character-much different than anything I've ever seen her in before. Every time I blinked I found another familiar face. However, a lot of the material here could have been toned down-especially for a PG-13 movie. I didn't really buy Anne Hathaway as a phone solicitor, which was a big part of my rating the movie lower than I would have liked. Even Shirley McClaine didn't impress me here, although she worked well with Hector Elizondo. Each of the characters intertwined in some way in a "Six-Degrees" sense, which made for interesting twists. This all being said, I just don't understand why Hollywood feels the need to add all of this nudity, sex and vulgarity into romantic comedies these days. Makes me really miss the older movies and brought a little bit of disappointment. Another disappointment was how long it was and it was very slow to get going. I even fell asleep at one point and found that I hadn't missed very much. Note to fans of Julia Roberts... even if you cannot stand to watch one more second of this film, you MUST... and I repeat MUST fast-foreword to the very end and watch the last scene where Julia is riding in a limo. The sequence is absolutely classic features a reference to one of her earlier roles that true Julia fans will absolutely LOVE!!

A colourful piece of fluff, with just about everybody in it.

This film is a rom-com like you’ve never seen it before. It is jam packed with amazing celebrities like Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift, Jessica Biel and more. You get to see the hilariously different ways that each of the “couples” spend Valentine’s Day and it is definitely funny from start to finish. From the Valentine’s Day hating woman who throws an anti-valentines day party, to the love struck teenagers who think they’ll be together forever, this movie has it all in the means of a romantic comedy and it is definitely worth the watch.

This romantic comedy follows a multitude of characters as they navigate through Valentine’s Day. Each of these stories intertwine as the characters explore the highs and lows of love and romance, as well as the different relationships that they have endured throughout their life. The movie has many charming and cute moments that will make you feel less alone next Valentine’s Day. There were many A-list celebrities in this film who did not take themselves too seriously as they played cheesy romantic roles. I would rate this movie 3.5/5 stars and recommend it to anyone who enjoys romantic comedy films.

Apr 28, 2018 many well-known, popular actors and such sad use of their talents. BORING!

In the universe of holiday ensemble productions, Valentine's Day is more uneven than, say, Love, Actually, but still pretty good. Among the high points: a fantastic faux-waitress takedown of a cheating lover by Jennifer Garner; and a multi-scene repudiation of all things Valentine by Jessica Biel, ending in a hilarious combination black-balloon gathering of the Rejected+South Asian wedding reception.

Yep... Give me the likes of Charlie Brown's "Be My Valentine" over this snivelling drivel, any day.

It had way too much adult content in it to be a true romantic movie. True, it does have a lot of famous people starring in it, but that doesn't make it good. It had a pretty good storyline that could have been a great movie. Not recommended.
