I was a little disappointed with this book. It's still a good story and does get that lesson across that even though you win the war, there are still scars from it that can't heal. I know the author was using the unique style of keeping the story from the perspective of one character, but I feel that she missed out on giving the reader so much more content by doing that. What bothered me the most *SPOILER ALERT* is that this whole series started with Katniss volunteering to save her sister and in the end, she failed.

I think too many people died. It was sad when Prim died.

This book was really good. This series overall was really good. The only thing i would like to change though, about the series, is that I would want to see things from Peeta's perspective as well. I know books that have like alternated between characters. This book kind of disappointed me though. I feel like it could've been better. I really liked the epilogue though.

I really liked the first two books of the series, and I was really excited to read this one, but it let me down. I feel like Suzanne Collins stuck to the same theme in the other two books, then totally went off track in this one. (The first and second mostly take place in the arena, while the third is focused on the rebellion against the capitol.) Perhaps if the second book hadn't been about the games as well, I wouldn't feel like the third is out of place.
However, if I cease to compare it to the other two, this book isn't all that bad. It does have certain parts that seem unnecessary, but some scenes are just beautifully written. The end left me a bit unsatisfied, but I guess it could have been worse.

This book is absalutely stunning! It starts of slow, but once you get to the good stuff, it's impossible to put down. When you finish this book, you will be crying your eyes out, but it has a hopeful ending. No spoilers, but I didn't want to return it.

Still amazing, although slightly less so compared to it’s companions. Starts off very slow, and once the action takes off there is a bit of a sci-fi feeling to it. Push through the boring beginning and then you will find an incredible plot for your faves from the first two books. A beautiful epilogue at the end that really puts the finishing touch on the series.

This third Hunger games book was amazing. The book was packed with surprises and changes to the characters and the plot. Katniss finds herself in a war between the Capitol and the rebels, and she's their Mockingjay.
Not only is there a war with The Capitol and the districts, but also between Gale and Peeta. As the book continuous more and more surprises and challenges are thrown in Katniss's path.
I found myself crying sometimes, and yelling at others, I totally recommend this book to anyone who has read the first two.

Mockingjay is my least favorite book in the Hunger Games trilogy but it is still really good and you should definitely read it.

But one day I'll have to explain about my nightmares. Why they came. Why they won't ever really go away. I'll tell them how I survive it. I'll tell them that on bad mornings, it feels impossible to take pleasure in anything because I'm afraid it could be taken away. That's when I make a list in my head of every act of goodness I've seen someone do. It's like a game. Repetitive. Even a little tedious after more than twenty years. But there are much worse games to play. - Page 390

I no longer feel any allegiance to these monsters called human beings, despise being one myself. I think that Peeta was onto something about us destroying one another and letting some decent species take over. Because something is significantly wrong with a creature that sacrifices its children's lives to settle its differences. You can spin it any way you like. Snow thought the Hunger Games were an efficient means of control. Coin thought the parachutes would expedite the war. But in the end, who does it benefit? No one. The truth is, it benefits no one to live a world where these things happen. - Page 377
