Characters: 6/10 Plot: 6/10 Writing: 9/10 This book was good, and it had resolution, but I wasn't really satisfied at the end. Everything just kept escalating so much until so close to the end that there wasn't enough time to get that peace that everything was really over. I still wondered if everything was a test, if I could tell what was real and what wasn't. Also, way to drop a bombshell in the epilogue, Mr. Dashner. It's over, and there's some hope for the characters, but it doesn't seem like there's much hope for the world as a whole. I felt kind of manipulated by the characters' deaths. It got to the point where people dying was what I expected, so I didn't have the strong emotional reactions that have been elicited by other book deaths. Even though I cared about the characters who died, I didn't cry because I was like, "Well. Of course they would." There were definitely some good twists and surprises, so kudos for those. However, I still don't feel like I really know what was going on the whole time...that mystery that propelled me through the whole trilogy didn't feel resolved.
