I would consider this to be the perfect summer beach read. The setting is Nantucket Island. There is an impending wedding, with the details dictated by the diary of the bride's dead mother. Family secrets and wedding drama ensues. The story was hilarious and heartfelt. Made me want to take a trip to Nantucket. This was my first introduction to Elin Hilderbrand and I loved it. I have since read Summerland and Matchmaker, and of the three, I definitely enjoyed Beautiful Day the best.
