The ideas and concept are good but the presentation
is not a compelling read. He spends 95% of print time
Stating the obvious, confirming he has stated the obvious,
showing how others do not get the obvious, showing that they are misguided
on what the obvious means, clarifying what the obvious means,
and declaring that success will be found
by “ the willingness of people to abandon their pride and their fear,
to sacrifice their egos for the collective good of the team.......”
Which to me is obvious.
His books become best-sellers so he must be a good read
for those who enjoy this format,
I just find it too slow, as so much time is spent in the starting gate
where the author thinks we need to be convinced of the need to address the obvious.
