Zayelle has known little about the world besides her life in the mountains. When she is chosen to become the next princess of Baghdad and sent there to marry a prince, she is desperate for an escape home. But when she catches a jinni on the journey to the palace and makes a wish, her greatest desire comes true. She gets to go home. Except, home is not what she expected. This story is also about Najwa. Raised in the Cavern of the jinnis, she has been trained as a spy and is the first jinni since the war began to break past the wards and enter the human palace. There, she sees a beautiful stranger, playing music and musing over a strange orb. When she returns to the Cavern and finds out about the human princess-to-be, her curiosity brings her back to the surface once more. In a burst of fire and heat, Najwa and Zayelle trade places through what they will learn is a Fire Wish. Undoable until they learn the truth. And in the meantime, in a world where humans and jinnis fight to the death, both girls must play their new roles to perfection. Because they are in terrible danger, even once the truth is revealed. With a mixture of romance, action, and intrigue, this original take on the world of jinnis and wishes will transport you away.
