Interesting, but an almost Gothic rendition of the books. David Suchet is excellent as Hercule Poirot--the best in my opinion who has incarnate the detective. There are lots of changes to the plots, quite unnecessary. The worse is the one made in "Clocks"; in the book Poirot is challenged to solve the crime from home, which he takes. "Hallowe'en Party" has a comment about sexual preferences that would have shocked the Poirot from the book, since he was a devout Catholic (and I plan to read the book just to compare this PC insertion). Tragically (pun intended) "Three Act Tragedy" was not able to reproduce all the intricacies of the case from the book. But still very much worth watching.
