An excellent look at the final years of WWII in Europe. Although there are only a few chapters on Patton's actual death, the book paints an excellent picture of the last two years of the war. It talks about the political scene in Europe from the Battle of the Bulge to the end of the war and explains about the people around the general as well as about Patton himself. No matter what your thoughts about O'Reilly himself, this is still a good book for World War II buffs. Be aware that O'Reilly doesn't mince words and does describe in a little detail some the atrocities of the war.
